Come to the Buster Keaton Convention. I’m a chair person for the festivities. You’ll have fun. I’m funny. Let’s hang out.
Guess I should have also mentioned that I’m a big Keaton fan and a member of The Damfinos (The International Buster Keaton Society). When I joined tumblr, I met bloggers Busterness and fortheloveofbuster. We met in person at the Buster Keaton Convention and I began doing research on Buster’s vaudeville work in my home state of Ohio. It’s very rewarding to see a review of his work, an old newspaper clipping, photo. Anyway, it’s been a great ride. I hope you’re encouraged to get involved in researching and keeping the memory of those wonderful stars who are no longer with us, alive. There’s a lot of good stuff out there just waiting to be discovered.
Darlin, tumblr-ers: we’ve just made an amazing discovery of photos and nitrate negatives of behind-the-scenes shots of Buster’s THE GENERAL. The photos and negatives were taken by a local photog in Cottage Grove, Oregon, and have remained hidden for all these years until recently discovered. Help us celebrate this amazing find, and learn how YOU, TOO can find lost silent-film treasures! See https://www.facebook.com/BusterKeatonSociety?ref_type=bookmark
Luy y’all. Srsly. You can find this stuff, too!
Hi guys and dolls! So sorry I haven’t been around lately, lots going on. Cool things going on in the Buster Keaton world, lots personally as well. I promise to check in more. Peace.

Hullo, my darlin’ tumblr peeps! I’m sooooo very sorry I haven’t been around as much as I’d like to lately, but helping to helm the Damfinos and promote Buster Keaton’s legacy takes a bunch of time, y’know? As you’ve probably gathered, we’ve made a major find lately - an entire cache of lost photos and negatives taken behind the scenes of the making of The General in 1926.
Y’know, tumblr, without you - this monumental silent film find would NOT have happened! Once upon a time, a couple of us got together via tumblr and discovered that we had a shared interest - Buster Keaton. We got together and met in person. That simple post led to a life long friendship and a commitment to bring you all the undiscovered Buster info we could find!
Here’s where it starts, folks. Via tumblr, we found stuff. You can too!! Wanna know how? Just ask! BTW - I love all y’alls. (I’m from Texas - and that’s how we say it). —SB

This appeared here on Nov. 24 but the original was discolored and had several creases across it. Here is a cleaned up version of that, originally listed as:
Jupp Wiertz, 1926

Thank you very much for cleaning this up. Very kind of you.
